Kickin' Around Switzerland with Keith

Our son, Keith, arranged his travel schedule to spend a few days with us. We had a wonderful time being together and enjoying the beauty that is Switzerland! It was so good to hug on him!!

Medieval Bern was beautiful...even on a cloudy day! 

He surprised us with a trip to the Grandhotel Geissbach complete with apple strudel on the terrace of an 1879 historic hotel, roaring waterfall, and funicular train ride in the beautiful tree covered mountain side overlooking the Brienzersee!! Wow!!!

Family History Italian-style

A pleasant Sunday afternoon with a new friend, a delicious dinner, FamilySearch.org, and some "parliamo Italiano" and several new ancestors were identified and added to our family tree!!
 We met Sister Magno last October when she came from her home in Rome to work in the temple for a couple of weeks. At that time she asked Frank if he would like some help with his Italian family History. He happily accepted!! Within a few days she had found 25 ancestors dating back to 1750!!!

She was again here at the temple and we had her over for dinner and had her show us how she is so successful in using Italian research tools to find our family. We enjoyed the time we spent together learning from this very talented, generous sister.  Storia famigliare stile italiano!!!!

Just Gotta Share

Hope that our family and friends don't grow tired of seeing the beautiful Sights of Switzerland! We can't restrain ourselves from sharing.

Went for a walk with some friends through the woods and countryside to the lovely little village of Müchenbuchsee.  Once again, we were treated to delightful scenes and surprises like....

Goats, rabbits....

wallabies, llamas, ostriches...

in a walk-through, no fee zoo...

Charming village with colorful flags and flowers...

and newly planted rolling fields!!!

We can't seem to get enough of the wonder and beauty that seem to be tucked into every corner of this lovely country!!
